Our Story

To Gita,

Girls Gone Vintage is a tribute to my grandmother, Brigitte Labrentz. Though she was neither my biological nor legal grandmother, she was my grandma in every way that mattered. Gita taught me everything a woman needs to know—from how to recognize an exceptional man to how to recognize an exceptional piece of clothing.

She was also the most fashionable woman I have ever known. Some of my favorite memories are of our days together in Santa Barbara, trying on pieces from her extraordinary closet and hunting for treasures in the thrift shops along State Street. She was electric—a creative, a leader, a teacher, and a woman whose presence filled every room she entered.

The passion behind Girls Gone Vintage was born from those moments we shared. Every piece I source carries a small part of what she taught me: the joy of discovery, the appreciation of timeless style, and the belief that beautiful things deserve a second chance.

Girls Gone Vintage is more than a collection of clothing. It is a celebration of the women who inspire us, the stories woven into every garment, and the enduring beauty of pieces meant to be cherished for generations
